Strawberries fresh picked from our local farms: Juicy, bursting with sweet tart strawberry flavor like you may never have had before. Why? Because our strawberries ripen in the field, are picked by hand and rushed to a Harvest Home Farmer's Market near YOU! So fresh, you practically taste morning dew on every plump berry. You'll say WOW as the juice runs down your chin!
Eat as much as you want. A whole cup of strawberries has only 50 calories! And surprise! All this juicy sweetness is really good for you. That cup of strawberries has 160% of the vitamin C you need every day plus antioxidants to take care of your eyes. They're actually recommended for people with high blood pressure and help lower your cholesterol. All that goodness in a little, delicious, lush, red package.
Ahh, the things you can do with strawberries: Pop them in your mouth as a snack. Add them to salads. Mix them with yogurt for breakfast or a mid-day snack. You can even make a scrumptious, fresh no-bake strawberry pie (see Recipe section)!
If you can resist not eating them all, you can even freshen up your skin with a Strawberry Face Mask!
For brighter, softer skin:
- Mash 2-3 strawberries in a bowl.
- Add a bit of honey to make a paste.
- Massage into your skin for 2 minutes.
- Rinse off with warm water followed by cold water.
For oily skin or a bit of acne:
- Mix 1 tsp of lemon juice instead of the honey with strawberries.
- Leave the mask on for 15 minutes.
- Rinse with warm water and then cold water.
- Strawberries have mild acids that effectively remove excess oily from skin.
Hurry. Fresh local strawberry season is very short!! Grab something sweet and special for yourself, your kids, your family and friends. ENJOY!

Strawberry Tidbits
Tips
Pinch the ends of the strawberries off with your fingers instead of a knife. It's faster and you lose less strawberry.
Wash strawberries just before you use them. If you are not using them right away keep in the fridge unwashed.
Got strawberry juice on your clothes? Easy to remove. Pour boiling water from a height onto the stain. It will magically disappear. (It's an old grandmother's trick!)
Breakfast Parfait: Mix strawberries and yogurt with 1/2 cup of granola.
Sweeten up your powerhouse smoothie. Blend 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt with 1 banana, 2 cups of strawberries and 2 cups of fresh spinach. The sweetness of strawberries and banana is what you taste while the spinach gives you extra iron.
Hot Summer Days Salad: Mix together strawberries, cucumbers, lettuce, almonds and fresh mint. Sprinkle with 1 tsp of olive oil and 2 tsp of balsamic vinegar. Refreshing!
