Since establishing the first farmers markets in 1993, Harvest Home has been a beacon of hope and change, transforming the lives of countless individuals and families through access to fresh, healthy food. Maritza's passionate and tireless dedication to food justice and nurturing communities has inspired us all. 

31 years and 14 farmers' markets later, we come together to honor her extraordinary contributions.

  • Enhanced Food Access: Last year alone, over $211,000 in fresh food was purchased, providing thousands of low-income families with access to healthy produce.

  • Support for Local Farmers: Maritza helped over 40 farmers develop sustainable practices, strengthening the local food system.

  • Nutrition Education: Through our programs, 85% of participants reported improved eating habits, empowering families to make healthier choices.

  • Community Impact: Under her leadership, we’ve witnessed countless stories of improved health, stronger family bonds, and greater community engagement.

Join us in launching the Maritza Wellington Owens Legacy Fund to continue the life-changing work she started, ensuring that farm-fresh, affordable produce remains available to those who need it most. Your support will:
